I am, in part, a phonetician, so I am reasonably well acquainted with the source-filter theory of speech production. Although speech production and acoustics is a secondary research interest (my primary interest is auditory perception and models of perception and decision making), I think that ‘source-filter’ is a fine name for a(n infrequently updated) blog, since, as the sole writer, all sources of information commented on here will be filtered through me. Posts will be mostly about my research and a variety of tangentially related issues.
